Hikers: This group is for those who want to participate without having to worry about time. Led by two different pace leaders, this non-competitive division will start 1hour early and allow participants to walk/hike the entire course with our designated leaders, without fear of cut offs or time pressure.

The Spirit of the hiking division is to include those that enjoy the scenic and supported experience of the event to walk or hike (no running) without the worry of cut-offs. Estimated finish times are 2 hrs for the Sport course and 3 hrs for the Enduro***THIS IS NOT AN EARLY START FOR RUNNERS*** If you believe that you can complete the sport course in under 2 hours or the enduro course in less than 3 hours, please start at the regular time. Having Hikers finish before the regular running participants creates a logistical nightmare for our timers so PLEASE observe this rule of NO RUNNING so we can continue to welcome this division!

Though the hiker division does not have a podium. ALL participants are entered into the draw prizing and encouraged to join for games and raffles!

We are proudly a cup-free event: All of our events are cup-free. This means that there will not be cups at the start or finish line or at any of the aid stations on course. Water and electrolyte drink will be available at the start and finish line and at one or more aid stations throughout the race (varies by venue). If you plan to be out for longer than an hour, please carry a receptacle for drinking and transporting liquid, calories and electrolytes.

Blonyx Hydra+ will be the on-course electrolyte beverage at all 5 Peaks races this season, made with real-food ingredients like mango and passionfruit juice, coconut water, sea salt, and organic cane sugar to keep you hydrated and your muscles working from start to finish.

Safety: In the interest of racer safety and because of the size of our attendance and the technicality of our course, please do not bring the following on the race course:

  • No dogs

  • No headphones

  • No strollers, baby joggers, or baby carriers / backpacks for carrying children

  • No nordic walking poles except for in the hiking divisions

Washrooms: Washroom facilities are available at Start / Finish area.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome. Spectators who cheer will be rewarded with smiles.

Parking: Parking Lot 2 near the Start / Finish area. 2 minute walk to check in, car pool to minimize our impact.

Swag, awards & prizing: Optional swag and medals can be pre-purchased through Race Roster or on site while supplies last.

An awards ceremony will be held once results are compiled following the completion of all competitors.

Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each gender in each age category in each distance category, as well as the top three overall finishers in each category.

All swag and awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.

Medals: We recognize the importance of memorializing one’s efforts and we’d like to offer each member of our community the opportunity to celebrate their achievements with sustainably sourced medals made in Canada. Optional finisher medals are available for pre-purchase through Race Roster while supplies last.
