The course, which starts and finishes at the lakeside, flows along the beautiful double track of Alice Lake shoreline before connecting to the scenic Lost Lake shoreline. Continuing along, this flowy forest track brings runners past Fawn Lake, the third of the Four Lakes. A right turn at Fawn lake takes runners along more smooth, beautiful trails weaving through the trees and flowing to the edge of Edith Lake, the fourth lake in the group. Both the Sport and Enduro begin a short climb here before being directed to part ways.

The Sport runners begin a gradual and playful descent down to the final kilometers of vibrant green single track along Hop Creek which leads you back to the finish line of warm smiles and tasty snacks where it all began!

The Enduro runners continue a non-trivial climb up 50 Shades of Green to the top of the world famous Rupert Trail. Thus begins a world class descent on slightly more technical trails that provide alternate, mellow options for those with toes and not hooves. Runners will be directed through Tazers (the namesake for a local trail builder's pet dog) and run through the giant dog house (awesome photo opportunity).

Once you have danced your way down this stunning single track and flowed into the Mashiter Creek Trail, it will take you swiftly back onto the original route, past Edith Lake to begin a gradual and playful descent down to the final kilometers of vibrant green single track along the musical waters of Hop Creek which lead back to finish line of warm smiles and tasty snacks where it all began!

The entrance for parking is at the end of Black Bear Rd which is your first left off of Alice Lake Rd. Volunteers will direct you to the gravel area at the end of Black Bear Rd. There will be no parking on the road and washrooms will be available at the start/finish.

The shuttle will begin returning participants to the parking area from 10am onwards.

Please check out the $25 shuttle from the City available for purchase and please carpool if possible. Thank you kindly for your cooperation. Suggestion- carpooling can be done from Capra parking lot and not just as a rideshare all the way from the city.

A satellite map view of a parking lot outlined in blue, located near Black Bear Road and Sea-to-Sky Highway. The map includes labels for nearby locations: Whistler to the north and Squamish to the south. A trail or paths are visible around the area, surrounded by dense trees and forest.

Hikers: This group is for those who want to participate without having to worry about time. Led by two different pace leaders, this non-competitive division will start 1 hour before the other events and allow participants to walk/hike the entire course with our designated leaders, without fear of cut offs or time pressure.

The Spirit of the hiking division is to include those that enjoy the scenic and supported experience of the event to walk or hike (no running) without the worry of cut-offs. Estimated finish times are 2 hrs for the Sport course and 3 hrs for the Enduro***THIS IS NOT AN EARLY START FOR RUNNERS*** If you believe that you can complete the sport course in under 2 hours or the enduro course in less than 3 hours, please start at the regular time. Having Hikers finish before the regular running participants creates a logistical nightmare for our timers so PLEASE observe this rule of NO RUNNING so we can continue to welcome this division!

Though the hiker division does not have a podium, ALL participants are entered into the draw prizing and encouraged to join for games and raffles!

We Are Proudly a Cup Free Event!: All 5 Peaks events are cupfree. This means that there will not be cups at the start or finish line or at any of the aid stations on course. Water and electrolyte drink will be available at the start and finish line and at one or more aid stations throughout the race (varies by venue). If you plan to be out for longer than an hour, please carry a receptacle (pack, reusable bottle, etc) for drinking and transporting liquid, calories and electrolytes.

Blonyx Hydra+ will be the on-course electrolyte beverage at all 5 Peaks races this season, made with real-food ingredients like mango and passionfruit juice, coconut water, sea salt, and organic cane sugar to keep you hydrated and your muscles working from start to finish.

All 5 Peaks athletes get exclusive pricing of 10% off Blonyx’s lineup of performance and recovery products, just enter code 5PEAKS10 at checkout!
