Description:

The Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area has some of the most inspiring scenic viewing found anywhere. Five breathtaking lookouts dot the edge of towering cliffs of Ontario 's striking Niagara Escarpment. With excellent hiking trails, this natural environment park is perfect for that therapeutic walk (or trail run) in the woods during any season.

Park admission will be added to the race fee at time of registration. All race participants will be admitted to the park at no extra charge on race day. Spectators will need pay the park entrance fee at arrival on race day.

 


Directions:

- From Hwy 401, take Hwy 25 south to Steeles Avenue, head west on Steeles to Appleby Line, drive south on Appleby Line for 3 km

- From Q.E.W, take Appleby Line north; 1 km north of Derry Road on top of the escarpment

10:30 AM - Post race food & beverage available in race compound
12:30 PM - Awards Ceremony


Terrain:

A wide variety of groomed screenings where athletes can pass, spread out and warm up to some intense single-track, rocky limestone, boardwalk through swampy section, grassy sections, and a burning vertical back up the escarpment before the final stretch toward the finish line. Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area, Milton, Ontario ~ Touted as perhaps the most technical of the Ontario courses, Rattlesnake has continually been a favourite. Situated along the Niagara Escarpment, runners are treated to the shade hardwood forests and some incredible single track.

First Aid & Water Stations:
 

2 Water/Aid Stations(1 at start / finish area, and 1mid way through course). First Aid attendants at the Start/Finish area, at aid station and throughout course with radio communication. Course sweep will travel behind last racer.

 

Washrooms:

Washroom facilities and outhouses available at Start / Finish area.

 

Parking:

Parking near Start / Finish area.

Important Notes:

In the interest of racer safety and because of the size of our attendance and the technicality of our course, it’s dangerous! 

NONE OF THESE THINGS BELONG ON THE TRAIL DURING THE RACE:

  • No dogs
  • No headphones
  • No strollers or baby joggers
  • No nordic walking poles

 

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome. Spectators who cheer will be rewarded with smiles.

 

Awards & Prizes:

Awards ceremony will be held following completion of all competitors (Approximately 12:30pm). Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category in all distances, as well as top three male and female finishers overall. All awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.
