The Hardwood Grind  

New Format for 2017!  Race through the beautiful Hardwood Hills trails with us.  This is a looped course.  The loop is approximately 8km long. Runners will complete as many laps as possible during the course of the timed event.  How many can you complete?

Three options available

  1. 3 hour timed event
  2. 6 hour timed event
  3. 2 person relay

Directions to Start: 

From Toronto

400 North to Barrie
Take the 400 extension north of Barrie
Take the first exit off the 400 extension onto Forbes Rd (exit #111)
Turn left at stop sign off the ramp and follow Forbes Rd. (Old Barrie Road) NE for 10 km.
Hardwood Ski and Bike will be on the left hand side of the road, in between Line 5 and Line 6.

Distances and Fees

All races are the same price, and are per person.

  • First 50 entrants door crasher:  $75.00 +hst and online fees
  • Early bird until March 15:             $85.00 +hst and online fees
  • March 16- April 30:                       $95.00 +hst and online fees
  • May 1 onwards:                             $125.00 +hst and online fees

Race entry Includes:

  • Great aid station food!
  • Official race Tshirt
  • Fully stocked food and refreshment table in the finish line area and at checkpoints
  • Well marked routes and awesome crew!

6:30am    Packet Pick Up opens at Station Flats (K-Country)

8:00am    Packet Pick Up Ends

7:30am    6 hour start

8:30am    3 hour start

11:30am   3 hour race cutoff

1:30pm    6 hour race cutoff

3:00pm   Awards

WE ARE PROUDLY A CUP-FREE EVENT!

For all races and events, please bring your own reusable cup/container/ water belt or hydration pack. Thank-you for being a part of our commitment to the environment! 

 

Spectators: Parking is limited so be sure to arrive early and please carpool!
