Age Groups

5 Peaks has a total of 16 age categories which will allow fair competition for all. Athletes will be placed in one of the following divisions according to their age on their first race of the year.

1. 10-14
2. 15-19
3. 20-29
4. 30-39
5. 40-49
6. 50-59
7. 60-69
8. 70 plus

Clydesdale/Athena Division

The Athena and Clydesdale divisions are an optional weight class. Athletes who meet the weight requirements and wish to be scored against other athletes in the Clydesdale/Athena division are invited to sign up for this category. NOTE: Clydesdale/Athena athletes WILL NOT be scored in the regular divisions.

Awards for Clydesdales & Athenas are given to the top 3 men and women overall (no age-group distinctions within this division). WEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS: Athena,160+ lbs, Clydesdale, 200+ lbs.

Awards will be given to the Top racer in each division.

1km Children's Challenge 

Registration for the 1km event is now free for children under 8 years of age with a paid adult. ( as long as one parent is racing, mulitple children from the same family can register) Each participant must register on race morning and his or her parent/gaurdian must sign a waiver.  All participants will receive a finisher's ribbon at the finish line.  We do not offer competitive age categories for this event.  The race will take place 1/2 hour before the Sport and Enduro events.

Awards & Prizing

All runners are eligible for over $40,000 worth of prizes throughout the series, through random draws and top place finishers. Make sure you race as many times as possible so you can capitalize on all the great gear we have lined up this year!!!...Remember you have to be there to win! Similar to previous years though, we'll also be giving away awards and prizes to the top 3 finishers in each distance at each race.

We'll also be tabulating points for the top 15 finishers in each race, and each age category with points contributing towards to the Series Championships. The more points you have at the end of the year, the better.

Look what the 5 Peaks Honors Club 2013 has in store for you!

Its been a few years since we made any changes to the Series Awards & Points Race, so we’ve decided to mix things up a bit this season.

• As always, at the completion of each Sport and Enduro race, points will be given to the top 15 runners in each race (15 points for a 1st place finish...1 point for a 15th place finish). Your top 4 finishes of 5 races in a series will count toward the series championship 5 Peaks Honors Club.
• At the final race in each series you’ll be awarded your Honor Club Card, valid for free and discounted races for the 2013 race season, valid at all races across the country! 
• Great all new designed custom awards will also be given to the top 3 Overall and Age Group winners.
